We’re All Lying by Marie Still completely captivated me from the start. The novel starts off with a scene of a missing person being reported to police and from then on it goes into flashbacks explaining how the characters got to that point.
I just finished an ARC (Advanced Readers Copy) of “The Retreat” by Zara Raheem. This novel follows Nadia Abbasi, a Muslim American woman, as she finds out her marriage is in turmoil after she finds some suspicious photos of her husband in his home office. She turns to her sister, Zeba, for advice, but at first there’s a challenge—their relationship hasn’t been perfect either.
I loved “Santa, Please Bring Me a Boyfriend for Christmas,” however, I have one recommendation—change the title. This book is so much more than the search for a love interest. It’s about the strongest and most supportive group of female friendship that I have ever read about.
