New ‘Los Barrios’ Lights Lacquer Collection is an Ode to Miami

Lights Lacquer recently launched the “Los Barrios” capsule collection as an ode to Miami. “Los Barrios” translates to “the neighborhoods”; this new collection is an open letter to the “Magic City” of Miami, by Cuban-American entrepreneur and beauty influencer Kathleen Fuentes, or better known as KathleenLights.

This new collection, which focuses on Miami’s culture and infuence features three new lacquer shades titled “Cubana” a brick red tone—named after Fuentes’ heritage, “Meet me at Space” black with silver sparkles color is named after Miami’s legendary after-hours nightclub,Space, and “ Spanglish” is a metallic silver, which gives a nod to the unofficial language of Miami—Spanglish.

Lights Lacquer is a vegan, cruelty and 12-free nail lacquer brand that offers press-on nails, jelly lip balms and nailcare treatments. This makes it ideal for those with sensitive skin or allergies—trust me, I have experience in this department.

I have tried the colors in this collection and the pigment is perfection. The color doesn’t go on sheer, and one or two coats does the trick. Also, when paired with a base and topcoat, the manicure lasted for about 5 days without chipping.

The collection also includes tattoo-inspired nail stickers, two graphic tees, and three phone cases inspired by the neighborhoods and iconic spots that encompass Miami.
